Back home at Rauhallinen Farm following a busy but relaxing trip to visit my son, his wife, and my eight month old granddaughter, Rose. She is very photogenic, and more cooperative that her father was, or any of her aunts, when posing and smiling. A trip on the Ferry to San Francisco, which included a necessary visit to the Haight - Ashbury neighborhood, including the Jerry Garcia/Grateful Dead home from 65-68, Point Reyes National Seashore, and some back road wandering. A very different climate than the U.P., but pleasant to visit. Hot, dry, and windy, with full sun most places, except for Point Reyes which kindly offered some muted light. A 3.5 hour flight to Minneapolis from Sacramento, then a five hour drive back to Rauhallinen Farm made for a long Saturday. Always glad to be back in the Northwoods. Some Tri-X, Fomapan, and Portra 160 to develop across the week, in addition to Polaroid SX-70 prints to scan.
