It is good to be working with Polaroid again after taking the winter months off. The last two batches I have received from Polaroid Originals appear even closer to SX-70 film as originally produced by Polaroid before they went under. Our blizzard did not drop the expected amount of snow and ice, with Northern and Central Wisconsin getting more than we did in the far north-something that does not happen very often, as Gogebic and Keweenaw counties are typically the leaders in any storm (and certainly for total accumulation across the winter). I am at the point where I am deadly sick of the white stuff and am dreaming of working in my many perennial beds, painting, cutting grass, etc. Sunday will be my day out with the cameras and film…destination still undecided. The wonderful thing about working behind the lens here in the northwoods is that it does not matter what direction you drive-the landscape and architectural images that will beckon you appear limited by only how far you are willing to drive. Have a good weekend.
