I have been cruising rural Ontonagon County, between Ewen and Bruce Crossing, with no particular destination in mind on weekends with the Hasselblad, Rolleicord, and 4x5 Harman Titan Pinhole. It is an old rural farming area with a plethora of old architecture (barns and farm houses in particular) that make for wonderful landscape photos. Additionally, you will find acre upon acre of old fencing which works well close with wide angle lenses to capture a near-far relationship between subject and background. The first trip I ended up stuck when my four wheel drive went out, but it has since been repaired and I am ready to return this weekend, weather permitting.
Photographers deal in things which are continually vanishing and when they have vanished there is no contrivance on earth which can make them come back again. ~Henri Cartier-Bresson
