Looks like a winter storm advisory tonight with up to four inches of new snow, which when living next to Lake Superior, is anyone’s guess. It is more typical that we get three times what is predicted more often than not. Our brief flirtation with warm weather is vacating as well with a high of 3F on Friday. I am used to UP winters, after nine years here, and love the winter woods and self-propelled sports. By March, when it hangs on and still snows, at times a lot, my attitude changes. I have not skied since my grandsons were here during Xmas time, so I am looking forward to having a go at the trails this weekend one day. My friend is getting her Yashica 124G from Ebay today and I hope that she quickly becomes smitten with film, as she once was. We shot a lot of medium format together, in addition to 4x5 work, with Hasselblad, 1950’s Agfa Isolette III’s, and a Mamiya 7II, before we both decided to go digital in earnest. Glad to be back to film across the past three years and will never leave again.
