“There is an ocean of silence between us… and I am drowning in it.”
― Ranata Suzuki
There are multiple sets of falls in this stretch of Dover Creek near Hubbell, Michigan, not far from Lake Linden. It is a very popular place for hikers from Michigan Technological University in Houghton, so there are always a lot of young people about enjoying the trails and great views. As always in the Fall during Leaf Peeping season, there are also many Chinese tourists across the entire Western Upper Peninsula. How word got all the way to China about our little corner of the Earth is beyond me, but as I have said in the past, they are much more polite and respectful of the land and populace than our own tourists, which are often complete morons to deal with on the trails.
