The light was beautiful to photograph in on Saturday, up in the Keweenaw. The countless times I have taken road trips there has never resulted in a depletion of photographic subjects, yet alone the dimming of my love for the area, people, and geography. I may have one or two more visits prior to the snow, which changes my ability to easily get to some locations, requiring snowshoes. The motel and coffee shoppe owner and I had a nice conversation while I was waiting for Eric to get showered and dressed. They have owned the place since 2000 and noted to me that it is open year around-a boon in the winter when driving there and back is a more difficult task.
“Doubt thou the stars are fire;
Doubt that the sun doth move;
Doubt truth to be a liar;
But never doubt I love .”
― William Shakespeare, Hamlet
