“I think if I've learned anything about friendship, it's to hang in, stay connected, fight for them, and let them fight for you. Don't walk away, don't be distracted, don't be too busy or tired, don't take them for granted. Friends are part of the glue that holds life and faith together. Powerful stuff.”
― Jon Katz
Not much left of this old church and certainly much less than when we visited with Holga’s years ago. The doors have been broken in, the wooden crucifix taken from the above the front door on the roof, and now, most of the seating that was not rotten has been taken. Our old mentor, David Plowden, was right about being one step in front of the wrecking ball. A goodly percentage of the old and arcane buildings I have photographed up here across the last nine years have disappeared, either by natural causes, or man-made demolition. Thank goodness it is not that way with landscape up here in the Northwoods.
