Spent the evening reminiscing with my best friend about growing up in the Motor City during the peak of 60’s Rock and Roll revolution-watching shows every weekend at the two most famous palaces (or dens of iniquity) The Grande Ballroom and the Eastown Theatre. As such, I did not do much in terms of scanning and post processing my three rolls of Fomapan 100 from last weekend. I remain so thrilled with this film and developer combination, for landscape work, it has become my favorite. It does not hurt that it is the cheapest 120 film around. Yes, an occasional quality control issue, but nothing that a modicum of Photoshop or Lightroom skills can not repair in an instant. It is a very thin film base that has a bit of curl, but scans like velvet. Try it in Rodinal 1:50 and you will ditch what you are using.
