9F and snowing, so I have been unable to get out and test the new Intrepid 4x5 yet. Perhaps tomorrow. Baking a meatloaf and keeping warm by the Pellet Stove today. When I initially got back into large format with both 8x10 (Svedosky) and 5x7 (Chamonix), I purchased both Schneider G-Claron and Fujinon lenses in various focal lengths. I did not care for the Fujinon look at all and while the G-Clarons are plenty sharp, their F9 aperture is quite dark and hard to focus on the ground glass in dim light, which I have a lot of. As such, I sold the works last year and went back to my tack sharp favorites-Nikon (Nikkor Large Format) lenses. I currently have the 90, 150, and 300 focal lengths, still needing to grab a 210mm to round out the collection. We always had great luck with the Nikkors and the Ebony RW45 those years ago. They are even more affordable on Ebay now with the digital age.
