As is more often the case than not, on the one day I have to myself to photograph, the sun was ever present and the prediction of a partly cloudy day was in error. Nonetheless, I managed to shoot a roll of 160 Portra to trial the color development process, in addition to a roll of Pan F in the Holga. The shot above is characteristic of the trail, and with the exception of four exposures made near Bond Falls, the rest of the roll was shot in the shade here. A very steep and root-filled trail that I am sure has claimed many sprained ankles and broken limbs.
"The Holga summons up Dadaist traditions of chance, surprise, and willingness to see what can happen."
