Had my six month oncology checkup today with CT scan and labs. Still cancer free and feeling great.
Saw the fist Junco of the season in the yard on Saturday-a true sign of winter coming when the little fellows from the Arctic show up. The woodpeckers and jays have been relentless with devouring suet cakes in a matter of a few days-putting on the body fat necessary to withstand our sub-zero temps with little cover. Our smarter feathered friends are already heading south. The hummingbirds have been gone for a couple of weeks and the robins are thinning out. On the cusp of a seasonal transformation. We dip back to the 40’s tomorrow and when Fall officially arrived this past weekend, the U.P. took it seriously. Benny and I are headed out for a walk, then off to the gym for me after it clears out a bit from the college kids.
