This stone fence next to an iconic golf club and lodge next to Copper Harbor has many moods. I hope to capture it with the 8x10 Intrepid and Kodak Portra 160 during the Fall colors. I will start learning the development exigencies with Porta on 120 roll film with the Rolleiflex, as 8x10 sheet film is too expensive to experiment with. Looks to be a nice weekend for the holiday which will be the last for many tourists, other then the hordes of leaf-peepers which descend in late September and the first two weeks in October. Rain or lack of will determine how soon the colors pop. Happy Labor Day.
“How the hell could a person enjoy being awakened at 6:30AM, by an alarm clock, leap out of bed, dress, force-feed, shit, piss, brush teeth and hair, and fight traffic to get to a place where essentially you made lots of money for somebody else and were asked to be grateful for the opportunity to do so?” Charles Bukowski
