Another truck carcass from Fred's farm, which is basically 40 acres with a ton of old outbuildings and junk he uses for a hunting camp. Fred was recently diagnosed with cancer and fortunately is having his surgery at Mayo Clinic this Friday (in Tonsil area and adjoining lymph node), where he will have the best chance at surviving possible. Getting back to this truck, was akin to walking through what he did daily in Vietnam. Brush over my head and a matted mess of grasses, trees, and insects, including lots of ticks. Another roll finished with the Rolleicord Vb and I feel ready to use it when the boys come in the first part of August for their summer camping trip with Papa to the Keweenaw Peninsula.
The Flickr group I moderate titled, Rolleiflex/Rolleicord Fine Art Black and White Photography, is beginning to florish. I have spent quite a bit of time perusing work in the various Rollei groups and inviting individual prints to the group. All submissions must be approved that are not invited, such that I have control over the content and quality of the photographs. There are some very talented people working with these old girls and producing a rich body of medium format fine art. Visit at:
