A beautiful weekend ahead for the Western Upper Peninsula, which after the previous weekend's flash floods, will be welcome indeed. Many of the roads are still closed, so I will not be returning to photograph until later this summer when camping with the grandsons.
The wet conditions have made for a healthy wildflower bloom so far this year, but delicate flowers such as the Lupine, were devastated during the four days of heavy downpour. My favorite spot for collecting wild Iris was also destroyed.
I need to brush out the quarter mile of woods trail I keep cleared. Our spring snow storm bent many bushes and trees into the pathway, which makes it difficult to get the lawn tractor through. Chainsaw, weedwhacker, and Machete will all be required and one full day. The To Do list is never completed, but it keeps me young.
Let the beauty of what you love be what you do.
