Friday and a beautiful day in the Western Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I managed to sneak in a walk of 45 minutes during lunch today between patients, which will be in addition to the normal 3 mile evening walk at home. Much yard work awaits, but I am going to treat myself to a trip with the cameras to the Keweenaw Peninsula tomorrow, as it is the only day of the weekend that promises cloud cover (which means good diffused light to photograph in). Benny went in for his annual check up and vaccinations yesterday-he will being going along for the trip, as with the snow being gone, he can enjoy the outdoors while his dad works the shutters.
"The taint of age can be very beautiful. The wreckage of man-made objects is something more beautiful than the new. Rust and weathering adds a patina of . . . well, I call it 'elegant shit' or 'elegant gorp'. - Brett Weston
