It is alleged that we could receive up to 36 inches of snow, but I will go on record as saying that when we typically get such amounts is during those times it is NOT predicted. I hope I am right as I would have to ask Dean to come and plow-no way I can do that while in the sling and strict post operative restrictions.
My two new books arrived from Amazon Prime a few days ago. Reading is laborious in this sling and very uncomfortable, such that finishing The Nightingale will not be a quick endeavor like The Great Alone was.
Michael Kenna's Holga Portfolio that also arrived is nothing short of spectacular-a must own for anyone who appreciates fine art black and white photography. The gorgeous prints were all taken on trips while working concurrently with his traditional Hasselblad system around the world. Each image exudes his customary magical ability to demonstrate mystery and stillness. I was lucky enough to see a one man show at the Edelman Gallery in Chicago some years ago with a friend. These prints are smaller and more inviting to get in close with. I find myself staring at a single plate for an extended period in awe. I have been waiting a long time for this release and it was worth every penny.
