A long and busy clinical week at the outpatient clinic-many new patients in all age groups with a host of diagnoses, from PTSD to Major Depressive Disorder. Never a dull moment. We have been listening to the audio version of "The Power of Now" by Eckhart Tolle in my younger (OEF/OIF and Gulf War) veteran's PTSD group. The guys are connecting well with the concepts of mindfulness or presence and have enjoyed the read and what it offers in terms of coping with Posttraumatic Stress Disorder.
I ended staying up into the wee hours to finish one of my two current reads, The Great Alone, by Kristin Hannah. Enjoyed it very much as it kept my attention across each page and provided for more than a modicum of suspense, especially in the later third of the story. Will make it a point to order her other NY Times bestseller, The Nightengale.
