The day ended with a bit of a surprise communication from a loved one and I am somewhat taken aback…was a pleasant moment in an otherwise, awful week. Beginning to think more about retirement….I will go down to get the grandsons next week and hope we have enough fresh snow for a good cross country skiing surface. While we have about eight inches on the ground, it has been very warm and everything has turned to ice…something Papa does not need to try to ski on, like he was also their age…..
“I can never read all the books I want; I can never be all the people I want and live all the lives I want. I can never train myself in all the skills I want. And why do I want? I want to live and feel all the shades, tones and variations of mental and physical experience possible in my life. And I am horribly limited.”
