Benny and I attempted to snowshoe the Hospital Loop at Wolverine Nordic Ski Area today, but due to the melt and icy hills, we opted for the shorter Snowflake Trail. While still strenuous, not the very steep climbs and drops of the longer trails, which when icy, even the crampons on the bottom of the snowshoe do not hold. I am not about to tear up $200,000 worth of shoulder replacements to get a few exposures that can be had as soon as more snow hits the trails. Benny had an absolute blast. He loves the woods and is especially happy to bark at any oncoming snowshoers and beg to be pet. A ten years old, hs still can out walk and climb his dad.
Frees us of all the weight and pain of life:
That word is love.”
