My first roll of Rollei RPX25 which I developed in Rodinal 1:50 at 8.5 minutes. I believe I will develop the next roll at 7 minutes, as I found these a bit on the thick side. Always fun to experiment with new film. I stopped at Planter Creek, which is just a few miles outside of Wakefield, on my way to the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness and the Presque Isle River. As the road into the Presque Isle Unit is closed for the winter, one must snowshoe in from the gate. The stairs are a bit dicey, but the small race model of the Northern Lites are a good enough fit if you turn them a bit sideways on the way down and take your time. On the way back to the car I passed a young couple that were on there way in to winter backpack and camp. Makes me happy to see young people self-propelled in the wilderness, as just behind there Toyota and mine were lots of snowmobile trailers. I remember the first time we parked here and walked into the river-It was colder than hell. Today in the low 40;s and shirt weather by afternoon.
“I love you. I hate you. I like you. I hate you. I love you. I think you’re stupid. I think you’re a loser. I think you’re wonderful. I want to be with you. I don’t want to be with you. I would never date you. I hate you. I love you…..I think the madness started the moment we met and you shook my hand. Did you have a disease or something?”
