Finally back to Rauhallinen Farm and resting from a very long day. Left for Mayo Clinic at 0400 for my six month post shoulder replacement check up with my surgeon. The ride to and from from Ironwood to Hayward, WI was a snowing and icy mess. Everything looked in place on the X-Rays with no loose screws or hardware out of place. Don’t have to go back until two and five years for checks. Lots to photograph in the Mississippi Valley between Minnesota and Wisconsin, but not when traveling to Mayo. I will have to make a special trip and spend the weekend in motels. From very tall limestone cliffs around the river and in Red Wing, MN, to rolling farmlands with many landscape opportunities. They don’t get the snow we do, so working there in the winter might be nice.
