Our first blizzard started yesterday afternoon, coming across the big lake from the Northwest and dumping near two feet of snow. There were drifts in the driveway up to my waist at 0500 this morning. Had to get it moved quickly for my wood delivery this morning. He had trouble getting to me as many of the roads are yet to be plowed. Instead of hitting Snap Fitness today, I will be able to get all the exercise I need by breaking a snowshoe trail on my woods path behind the farm. Had to shove a walkway for Benny in the backyard, as well as one to the bird feeders. Got down to 18F last night with wind chill of 2F. Pellet stove feels good this morning. The Juncos, who are normally Arctic inhabitants, are the first visitors, but depend on other birds to knock seed down to them as they are ground feeders only. My Chickadees are messy eaters and always happy to oblige their need for dropped seed. Have a good weekend.
Enjoy two guitar greats that got their start from the same group, The Yardbirds in the 60’s. Jeff Beck joined by Eric Clapton.
