Shoving off in an hour. Need to load the outside wood boiler up, load the RAV4, brew a last cup of Joe, and head east on US2-destination: The garden peninsula and Fayette. If I took any more film camera gear I would need a burro to carry packs. The forecast calls for heavy cloud cover today and rain tomorrow, so today will be the opportunity for most of the exposures. The 19th century buildings at Fayette, in addition to old foundations from the Pig Iron Industry (1867-1891) on the shores of Lake Michigan make for an overwhelming number of subjects to choose from in good light. The main harbor that opens up into Big Bay De Noc is lined with old pilings, over shadowed by towering cliffs, which will be the first images of the day. Time to get moving…have a good weekend.
