I found this antique lawn mower leaning up against a tree in a remote cemetery to the north of Amheek in the Keweenaw Peninsula. Also made some exposures with the Rolleiflex 3.5F which are drying as I write. An eerie cemetery with many turn of the century graves. Amheek was a railroad and mining town in the early 1900’s. Less than 200 people live there now and it is somewhat forlorn.
“Shame on those who remain unmoved, whose pace fails to quicken, on entering one of these old habitations, a manor-house falling to wrack and ruin or a desecrated church!”
― Petrus Borel
