I was not cognizant enough to notice that the snow was waist high at the end of the drive this morning and managed to get the RAV4 unceremoniously stuck. Was a chore to even push my car door open as I was so buried. Colin, from the farm across the street (from England) came over to give me a hand. After snow blowing, shoveling, and using ashes from the wood boiler to give the spinning tires traction (yooper trick my neighbor to the North suggested when he drove by) We worked her free, but I missed my first two patients. Always good people willing to help you in the U.P.-even the garbage collection folks stopped on their route to ask if we needed their help. Got home, left the car in the road and blew everything out, took a hot bath, and am enjoying a cup of tea.
If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion. ~Dalai Lama
