I did not plant Cleome (annual) this year as I could not find them, but a few popped up from seeds that fell from last year's plants. My work will gradually start shifting to black and white in medium and large format. Winter is my favorite time for black and white. In some places, I can put the heavier 8x10 pack and wooden tripod on a sled and drag it while on snowshoes. By March I am saying, "fuck this snow" and dreaming about photographing wild and garden flowers again. Having very diverse seasons provides many different opportunities for visual artists.
Fed all the deer and bear blinds today and will photograph tomorrow morning between thunderstorms. A waterfall day in Iron County, WI. Will bring and use the Holga Pan 612 and 4x5 Pinhole. Destinations will include Wren Falls, Lower Potato Falls and Foster Falls. Each requires traveling back country two tracks and steep climbs. Safety is more of a concern for me now that I have only one arm that can do anything in a fall. I just stay mindful, slow, and pay attention to my boots.
