Fall is right on the doorstep with very cool evenings and other harbingers like asters and goldenrod. The days have become shorter such that it is not dark by 8PM. Another pile of bear shit and half the new bag of corn gone. The infrared system on the new camera did not fire the flash so I did not get a pic of the culprit. Set the sensitivity up to maximum and if this does not work it goes back and Eric will have to pick out another. It did manage to pick up a nice four point buck before darkness which is much more welcome than bear. My brother got a bear tag for our area as did his son, so if he or she sticks around, he will not have to go out near little girls point where he deer hunted last year to get his bear. I don't hunt them as I will not kill anything I don't also eat. I find bear meat quite disgusting.
Hunting, fishing, drawing, and music occupied my every moment. Cares I knew not, and cared naught about them. John James Audubon
