Will leave to take the boys back to their grandmother in the morning, spend the night on their couch, then head back to the Northwoods. We have all enjoyed each other immensely and they will be missed until I see them again this fall. Soon Aiden will be old enough to come for deer hunting and can join his uncle. I have pretty much delegated myself to camp cook status. Will be traveling back to the Keweenaw with the popup to McClain State Park on Saturday next weekend with the 8x10 and Holga Pan 612 for the serious black and white work, light permitting. Also hope to catch the tail end of the thimbleberries there and add to the current stash in the freezer for jam making in September.
“You solve it as you get older, when you reach the point where you've tasted so much that you can somehow sacrifice certain things more easily, and you have a more tolerant view of things like possessiveness (your own) and a broader acceptance of the pains and the losses.”
