I remember this day as it were this week. I had just finished shooting the Bly Cemetery entrance gate and then took advantage of this brief "sun behind the clouds" episode. I even remember what my partner was wearing. Strange how long term memory can capture idiosyncratic data. Of course, as I used to teach psychology students, then retrieval becomes the challenge in that limitless file of information.
It is Wednesday evening and Eric and the boys are about one hour away. I have grocery shopped and cleaned the popup and have the refrigerator in it plugged in and cooling. Benny goes to Bluffview Kennels in the morning, along with their dog, Brutus. Their grandmother will land in Sacramento this evening to pick up Madeline from her legislative intership and drive her home in her Jeep.
Eric has a phone interview with a major pharmaceutical company in California on Friday, so we will have to either make sure Copper Harbor has cell reception, or get to where there is on the Keweenaw. I was teasing him and told him if he did not want his love Genevieve to ask for children (which I think they both want), then just invite her on this camping trip. Two nights with these guys will see her asking for sterilization....Would be a hoot if the girls were coming too-total chaos :-) Will be back on Saturday evening, in time to get the dogs before Bluffview Kennels closes. Have a stellar weekend and maybe take some portraits of the girls with that Holga for me.
