I have been most pleased with the experimental work with the recent purchase of the Ilford 4x5 Pinhole Camera, which this shot was made with. It is not possible to get any closer to the invention of the photographic image, as this was indeed the camera obscura. My passion is fulfilled as it lacks any technological prowess, but simultaneously requires advanced knowledge of light and exposure, as well as development and processing skills-perfect for my now arcane and idosyncratic philosophy on photographic art. Bravo to Ilford in conjunction to Walker Large format cameras for taking a risk on this project. I am so pleased to see this growing analogue resurgence, especially in both instant and large format photography-in particular because it keeps my necessary materials for art-making available. All of this reminds me of so many of our Chicago trips, each of which seemed to highlight the use of a new film camera for both of us-offering the joy of experimentation in the confines of a supportive relationship-does not get any better than that in my humble opinion dear one.
