These dainty and painterly lilies are our first wildflowers to bloom at Rauhallinen Farm. They are elusive and often only stay open for part of the day (and are hard to get to the studio in time before they close up). In the next week or two the Trillium will show their large white flowers in the woods on my way to work. The Polaroid Macro 5 is such an odd camera with lots of eccentricities that I am slowly figuring out by trial and error. Initially I was wanting to toss it in the trash the first week I received it from an Ebay seller. As I love the unique qualities of Impossible project film, I am being patient and dialing things in. II was happy with this one.
“The world is so empty if one thinks only of mountains, rivers & cities; but to know someone who thinks & feels with us, & who, though distant, is close to us in spirit, this makes the earth for us an inhabited garden.”
― Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
