A busy day of chores to take advantage of nice weather. Got the garage and wood shed cleaned. One row of wood left after starting with six to the ceiling (18 cords). Bird houses cleaned of last years nests and put out in hopes of catching the eye of bluebirds home shopping. Starting the leaf blower and shifting the lawn tractor were a challenge with the right arm, but manageable with just discomfort (have to use the left arm for pull starting the leaf blower, hand mower, and weed whacker at this point). Also got the inside of the Toyota vacuumed and cleaned. Finished a reference letter and soaked in a hot bath. I am sorry I finished reading "Wintering" so quickly. It was spellbinding and I ended up staying up way too late with my nose buried in it many nights. Peter Geye is exceptionally talented. If one is going to read it, they should read "The Lighthouse Road" first, as it goes back to the start of the town of Gunflint and the beginning of the Eide family.
