Aside from the Juncos who feel right at home in this late snow, the Robins look confused and the White Crowned Sparrows (if I may anthropomorhise) pissed. I'm with them....Had to start the RAV4 early to melt the crap off the windows and fill the recently idle wood boiler that gobbled up all the logs on the chilly night.
"I've banished Winter, saith the Spring,
Awake! arise, ye flowers!
Brisk breezes blow,
Bright sunshine glow,
And rouse the young Year's powers."
~Henry James Slack (1818–1896), The Ministry of the Beautiful, "Conversation IV: Spring-time on the Western Coast," 1850
