Self Portrait-Polaroid 680

First cup of coffee and so far the light looks good for making pictures. I prefer the word making over the traditional taking, as the former in our lexicon implies that photographs are sitting there, in terms of a ready-made and suitable volunteer, begging to be collected like a child picking a dandelion. A casual look at 3/4 of the shit people post on Flickr groups should quell that notion.  Yes, when it comes to photography I am very opinionated on quality....I have continued to select Polaroid (Impossible Project Film) work from various Flickr groups and invite the artist to post in Impossible Project Fine Art. While I don't have the group set up such that I have to review each submission prior to posting, there are many self submissions that are not invited. Albeit some of those don't fit my idea of fine art, for the most part I am quite impressed with this growing body of unique work.

On another note, I should receive a WiFi hotspot from Verizon today, which will allow me to get rid of DISH as my rural internet provider and get those incredibly obscene dishes out of my yard. In the last four years I have worked so diligently to landscape and plant this historic home to my own version of Monet's Giverny. It has always been a sore spot for me to look at that equipment sitting in the middle of it as a giant blemish.

Time for a brewing of cup number two and to start my day in earnest....
