I was expecting Lake Superior to be open on Sunday-wishful thinking in March I suppose. The tall mountains of ice and snow along the shoreline can disappear in a wind of the right direction paired with a warm day. In less than 24 hours it is just gone and the waves crash against the rugged shoreline again for the first time in months. I hope to work with the 8x10 and driftwood this coming weekend as the walk from M107 to the beach is minimal. I will drive with the beast already on the tripod with the back seat folded down in the RAV4.
