Last winter the Three Suns Fishing Trawl was not docked in Black River Harbor, so this year I am taking advantage of her return (her home port is up in Hancock). She is another one of those things I love to photograph that tend to disappear. Although considering the beating she takes on a lake that destroyed the Edmund Fitzgerald and thousands of large sea-going vessels, I think she looks better than I do (and likely fishes better than I do too:-)
Photographers deal in things which are continually vanishing and when they have vanished there is no contrivance on earth which can make them come back again. ~Henri Cartier-Bresson
Most of the news since the election has just made me sad or angry, but this little tongue-in-cheek tidbit cracked me up....I hope it puts a smile on that face this morning...(sorry, you will have to cut and paste the link as squarespace is not behaving this evening).
