After a bit of hiatus, the blog and I are back....My right tympanic membrane (eardrum) burst due to an acute ear infection two weeks ago, with sudden hearing loss ex post facto to my right ear. While hearing is not a necessity to the visual arts, the theme for this site, the loss has been nothing short of devastating. The infection has cleared following antibiotics, but I am completely deaf in my right ear, which has been something of a challenge to being a psychotherapist for a living. The last ENT appointment resulted in "lets wait a month and see after healing.", which for us patience-challenged individuals is akin to waterboarding.
I had a written conversation with an old friend today that was every bit as mood elevating as my Citalopram. We share the same political views, of which recently there is no shortage of discussion material, unfortunately.
The Svedosky 8x10 will arrive from Poland next week. I will load the three 8x10 holders I currently own this weekend and be ready for a test drive the next weekend. It will also come with a 4x5 back, for which I have a dozen holders.
"They say a person needs just three things to be truly happy in this world: someone to love, something to do, and something to hope for."
I must be lucky, as I have all three...
