What incredibly fortuitous timing for me to be severely hearing impaired, sitting in the ENT waiting room at Ministry Healh Care in Rhinelander today, while the television displayed the inaugural address featuring "not my president". I kept my back turned and my lack of auditory prowess since the tempanic membrane burst of last weekend took care of the rest. An older (than me) gentleman sitting across from me addressed me snidely with, "what the hell is he talking about?" to which after having him repeat it, I winked and smiled. I guess there is at least one older white man, less than high school educated in Wisconsin that did not vote for this motherfucker. I am very proud that my youngest daughter, a sophmore in pre-law at University of Michigan, is en route on a bus with other U of M students and faculty to protest tomorrow in the women's march.
