Hiked in to Lost Creek Falls, which were of course frozen solid. I did not bring YakTrax for the bottom of my boots, so I could not go behind the falls, which has a small opening, as it was glare ice. Picked up another St. Croix Walleye jigging rod for this coming weekend when Eric and I fish for that species on the Gile Flowage through the ice. I only had one and the rest were for panfish. My friend, Fred, kindly has provided parking at his fishing cabin on the west side of the flowage, so that our walk out will be a mile or less. Fred also marked a map with his favorite walleye spots that we will visit. Ski in the morning and ice fish late afternoon into the evening, when the walleye bite is best.
