This has been quite a bit of work, but it connects me to my youth, family hunt camp (Birch Hill Lodge), and many memories that thanks to my father, led to a lifetime passion for the woods, rivers, and streams. It does my heart well to see it as a like passion in my son. My father would be very proud of all of this. This type of land is exactly as Birch Hill was-one huge cedar swamp with clumps of higher ground. Believe it or not, here close to October, the mosquitoes are still at their work back here.
“If everyone was cognisant of their purpose on earth, we would only need weapons for hunting and nothing else.”
