Birdsfoot Trefoil and Wild Lupine are blooming throughout the Northwoods. I noticed a small patch of Wild Columbine outside the South Fence while working in the back this evening. Not quite bloomed, but when it does, will make a nice studio subject. I miss having my son here. It was nice to have time off work, not have to listen to the problems of others all day, and to fish. I am giving him my Cannondale Six13 frame, which was of the last year that Cannondale hand- made frames in the USA, so it has appeciated in value. While I don't ride as much as I used to, the main reason is to have my original black Cannondale R1000 back. It has so many sentimental memories and trips tied to it that its presence will heartfelt. Keeping my very expensive wheelset, along with the seatpost, and pedals. Will be just like days of old in one way and a bit sad in another. Eric rides many times a week and was very appreciative of the trade. He is having the swap done at his bike shoppe in Ann Arbor, where he now lives.
