Chilly but sunny and I was able to finish cutting the back lawn as well as the quarter mile woods trail in back that goes to our deer blinds. I think my four legged friends appreciate their mowed walkway all summer and by the number of tracks that are always present, it would appear it is used often. Delivered some cards to Z Place Gallery, featuring new Polaroid SX-70 work. Both proprietors, Janice and her daughter Ellen (my old landlords at the Real Estate Store) were impressed and requested larger framed prints for the gallery. Never enough time to do chores, make art, and then process art to sell. Benny is taking an oral flea and tick Rx this year and got his second dose today. I never felt good about rubbing that toxic liquid on his neck, nor getting on me. Speaking of bugs, the bastard black flies are out in force and when weeding yesterday, they feasted on my ankles and wrists. They seem to think the bug dope is some type of gravy. This will be the best year for the gardens at Rauhallinen Farm to date. The 15 perennial beds will be teaming with growth and joined by exotic annuals such as Tithonia (Mexican Sunflower), Spider Plant (Cleome), and Cosmos. I am wondering is the presumptive Republican Nominee will request that I build a wall around the Mexican Sunflowers?
