Finished reading fellow fine art photographer, Sally Mann's autobiography, "Hold Still." As we are the same age and grew up in the same era, I found much of her childhood recollections noteworthy on a personal basis. Additionally, her verbal expressive skills are astounding-on the level of Susan Sontag (requires a dictionary at your side). The two books pictured above will arrive from Amazon on Friday. I will certainly read Jim Harrison's new release first, as he has maintained his status as my favorite author for many years. "Dog Run Moon" is author Callan Wink's first book, so I have no familiarity with him outside of reading the shining review in the New York Times, which resulted in me ordering it for a try. Have been thirsting for a new Harrison novel (in this case, three novellas) for the past year. Very pleased that the 78 year old author and poet has remained prolific. Nothing like getting some new books.
