I left the farm about 0530 and decided to travel up to the Keweenaw. It was very foggy so the driving was slow. Photographed the Dredge at Torch Lake, the Smelter there, fence at Copper Harbor, Lake Medora, Lake Fanny Hooe, and the Eagle River. Decided against the Sturgeon River Gorge...some bad memories for personal reasons that I need to work out so I can return there to work. Just did not feel up to wrestling with demons that would take away from my concentration. Eric made it home safely a few minutes ago, albeit deerless. Miss him already.
Somewhere the flower of farewell is blooming.
Endlessly it yields its pollen, which we breathe.
Even in the breeze of this beginning hour we breathe farewell.
