Kind of sad to look out the front window at daylight. Instead of seeing 8 ft. Tithonia and a host of other plants across 8 gardens....all leveled to the ground in preparation for a winter nap. Makes the yard look even bigger than it is (close to two acres in total). If I photograph any botanicals henceforth, they will have to be purchased from the florist. On to Fall photography, color work with the leaves, and perhaps a bit of hunting for me as well. Benny has started to grow out his coat, as it comes in handy in our winters for both his ventures in the yard, digging in the snow for squirrels, as well as snowshoeing. If shaved, he would freeze his little black ass. Eric and I are going to watch a movie tonight, enjoy a cup of hot tea, and hit the hay. I have arisen at 0400 for the last five days, so I am looking forward to sleeping in till my usual five tomorrow. Goodnight my friend...sleep well.
