Slept in (for me) until 0600, as the light would be flat all day and no need to beat the sun. Traveled first to Lake Superior next to the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness, then rural Ontonagon County, then back to the top of the Porcupine Mountains for some Presque Isle River work around Manido Falls. I have been admiring this fenceline just west of Ewen on M-28 for a number of years. Found access with the snowshoes via a snowmobile trail that ran perpenduclar to the highway. Worn out tonight after seven hours of hiking with the snowshoes and pack. Ready for a hot bath, supper, and some hot tea. Overall, a productive weekend behind the lens.
