Fall is already making an initial presence here at Rauhallinen Farm. The Asters are just beginning to bloom roadside, and in about six to eight weeks, will be one of the few species of wildflower left alive. Our growing season is so dwarfed by those of downstate or the South-we really only have about three weeks more here than those who live in the Artic Circle area of Alaska. Each season leaves its own signature, emotion, and longing... and in the words of our irascible Bukowski, " The Days Run Away Lilke Wild Horses over the Hills...."
