When Luanna and Colin's grandson visits from San Diego, he likes this old swing. To me, this image represents the simplicity of living in the country from days gone by. Other than a brief stint of renting a small house in farm country (Paw Paw, MI) while I was working on my first graduate degree in 1975, this is my first experience in bucolic living over a period of time. I will never return to any faction of urban life-I am hooked on tranquility, peace, and privacy.
My iphone took a dunk in Lake Superior while launching my boat on Sunday, which prompted an upgrade to the Samsung Galaxy. While the operating system is completely different, after a day of getting used to it, I am happy with the choice. Far superior camera, easier to use keyboard, larger screen, and lighter. The two oldest kids have been urging me for the past two years to switch and they were right. My other reason was a history of frequent and unexplained software issues with Apple, especially after each software upgrade.
