Got up at daylight and traveled two plus hours to the Sturgeon River Gorge for a second try at gathering material for the "Summer River" videography project. Unlike the first try a few weeks back which was a literal wash due to rain, periods of good light today, with intermittent sun to wait out for muted light. A good chance to further test my lung after the lobectomy....it worked fine, it was only my old ass that got tired from a bit of dehydration (I don't seem to learn to remember water) and a six mile hike up and down through the gorge area of the river. As usual, lots of college kids jumping from the high cliffs and swimming in the deep holes. Carried you in my heart as I know you would have found this place to be magical.
"Rivers flow not past, but through us, tingling, vibrating, exciting every cell and fiber in our bodies, making them sing and glide."
