A cold day of rain and wet snow with a high of 38 and low of 27. All the 20 some flower pots, in addition to the hanging ferns have been moved in the barn since last night. By Wednesday, the cold front shall pass and hopefully we will get on with Spring.
The Forget-Me-Not, perhaps more than any other perennial wildflower, has more than a modicum of legend and fable attached to it. Here is the Wikipedia link, which summarizes most of these tales well enough:
There is a German legend that just as God had finished naming all the plants, one was left unamed. A tiny voice spoke out, "Forget me not, O Lord!" And God replied that this would be its name"
Dieter F. Uchtdorf, "Forget Me Not"
